There aren't many things in life that I can't find some sort of humor in. I like to think that is a gift hehe. Christmas is the best time of year in my mind. Everything about it makes me all warm and happy. I find myself in a rather dark spot this Christmas. Finding it hard to happy, or grateful.
We all go through seasons of change, seasons of pain, happiness, ect. Lots of us go through those at Christmas time.
I pray this touches your heart this Christmas Season.
God never gives us more then what we can handle, but sometimes he gives us it all at once and we feel like we aren't going to make it out alive.
What if tomorrow came and you couldn't speak
What if tomorrow came and everyone you love was gone
What if tomorrow you lost everything you had
What if tomorrow life as you know it ended
What would you do?
Where would you go?
Who would you call?
Who would you cry to?
What would you say if all you had left was to fall on your knees?
This is my Christmas Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray that this Christmas season you would help each of us to open our hearts to the people who need you most. I pray you open our minds to your will. I pray that we wouldn't look at the holidays like an awful family affair but as one more chance to show your love to others. I pray you give us an understanding of the personal hell some people live in, so that we might be able to be used to help them. I pray that we reach out to those unreachable, love the unlovable, and the unwanted. Lord bring us to our knees this Christmas season. Break us until its only you we long for and you we want. Push us until our need for you is thirst in our mouth and blood in our veins. Let your love for us overflow to those we come in contact with this Christmas. Free us from ourselves and give us new life in you. Thank you for that beautiful baby boy. Thank you for the best gift.

Let your smelly aunt kiss you
Let your grandma give you ugly clothes and be thankful she loves you enough to think you would like it
Invite your in laws you don't like so much over to spend the holidays
Let words said roll off you
Don't worry about the food, the presents, or the house chores
Watch your kids sleep at night and enjoy the 5am wake up Christmas morning
Don't miss your chance to tell uncle pain in the butt how much Jesus loves him
Let go of the past...embrace the future
Love like tomorrow isn't coming
Leave your judging finger at home
Smile like it is glued to your face...after a while it will be real
Enjoy the moments ALL of them
Give second, third, and fourth chances
Don't close doors, open windows
And if all else fails you and you want to freak out Christmas day when the family has just about put you through the ringer....
Be thankful that you aren't pushing a baby through your "special" area while laying in poo and straw with only your super caring, freaked out, MAN of a husband, and a cow to help you out. I mean look at Mary! That day could not have been fun for her, and look what came from it.
