There aren't many things in life that I can't find some sort of humor in. I like to think that is a gift hehe. Christmas is the best time of year in my mind. Everything about it makes me all warm and happy. I find myself in a rather dark spot this Christmas. Finding it hard to happy, or grateful.
We all go through seasons of change, seasons of pain, happiness, ect. Lots of us go through those at Christmas time.
I pray this touches your heart this Christmas Season.
God never gives us more then what we can handle, but sometimes he gives us it all at once and we feel like we aren't going to make it out alive.
What if tomorrow came and you couldn't speak
What if tomorrow came and everyone you love was gone
What if tomorrow you lost everything you had
What if tomorrow life as you know it ended
What would you do?
Where would you go?
Who would you call?
Who would you cry to?
What would you say if all you had left was to fall on your knees?
This is my Christmas Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray that this Christmas season you would help each of us to open our hearts to the people who need you most. I pray you open our minds to your will. I pray that we wouldn't look at the holidays like an awful family affair but as one more chance to show your love to others. I pray you give us an understanding of the personal hell some people live in, so that we might be able to be used to help them. I pray that we reach out to those unreachable, love the unlovable, and the unwanted. Lord bring us to our knees this Christmas season. Break us until its only you we long for and you we want. Push us until our need for you is thirst in our mouth and blood in our veins. Let your love for us overflow to those we come in contact with this Christmas. Free us from ourselves and give us new life in you. Thank you for that beautiful baby boy. Thank you for the best gift.
Amen
Let your smelly aunt kiss you
Let your grandma give you ugly clothes and be thankful she loves you enough to think you would like it
Invite your in laws you don't like so much over to spend the holidays
Let words said roll off you
Don't worry about the food, the presents, or the house chores
Watch your kids sleep at night and enjoy the 5am wake up Christmas morning
Don't miss your chance to tell uncle pain in the butt how much Jesus loves him
Let go of the past...embrace the future
Love like tomorrow isn't coming
Leave your judging finger at home
Smile like it is glued to your face...after a while it will be real
Enjoy the moments ALL of them
Give second, third, and fourth chances
Don't close doors, open windows
And if all else fails you and you want to freak out Christmas day when the family has just about put you through the ringer....
Be thankful that you aren't pushing a baby through your "special" area while laying in poo and straw with only your super caring, freaked out, MAN of a husband, and a cow to help you out. I mean look at Mary! That day could not have been fun for her, and look what came from it.
Love to all This Christmas
Im learing to embrace the person I am, what I believe, and what scares me with out the feeling of being judged for it. This blog is more for me to look at and be reminded of what I stand for and what I hope will encourage others to do the same.

The Thanksgiving Meltdown
Well we had a nice Thanksgiving for the most part. Took a short trip down to Florida to see Nick's dad for the Holiday.
I thought I would be daughter in law of the year by saying that I would make the dinner instead of going out. Seemed like a good idea, I like to cook, he has an amazing kitchen, and I wanted to make the WHOLE dinner once.
Now, this week had been a bit stressful for lots of reasons that we don't need to go into. I hadn't got much sleep as the kids seemed to be to excited to sleep on vacation, which means that mom is up at 6 and coffee is my fuel! No sleep and stress are never a good combo...Thanksgiving morning comes and I am busy cooking away. 2 pies, Turkey, rolls, green bean casserole, creamed corn, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing....ya I totally rocked it...except.... I was loosing my mind. The house was 85 degrees, the kids were screaming , and I was DONE ready to be home, missing my family, ect.
The meal starts off well, no one seemed to really be very happy with anything, but the food was good! Anyway I start to be a bit short with people to the point of my husband pulling me a side and telling me I better pull it together(never the thing to say to a woman already loosing her mind). Nick took the kids outside so I could "pull it together" while doing massive piles of dishes. I am scrubbing away in a pile of bubbles with these thoughts going through my mind...."life is good, pills would be better, screw everyone, love everyone, ect..."Then when I realised that was completely going the wrong direction I decided to pray, a much more constructive way to calm down. I prayed God would calm my mind, help me to be thankful, and except the things I can not change, and also that he would give me a "way out". I took a deep breath and turned around...there on the counter top with a glowing light coming down on it was the biggest bottle of red wine I had ever seen. This had to be a gift from God to settle my nerves....that or the devil wanting me to look like a bigger idiot. So I poured a glass of wine and finished the dishes...by the time the dishes where done, so was the wine...and Leann was happy as a clam, not stressed a bit, and ready to love the world....Until Nick comes it and takes my glass, looks at the bottle, then at me, and says..."Here we go..."
Let's just say I was in a great mood the rest of the day. Sat in the sun, read a book, played with the kids, went on a bike ride with the family. GREAT THANKSGIVING!
Although I can not go into detail about the whole story here...all in all it was a great thanksgiving.
Some quotes from the day that made me stressed..
"I don't eat turkey"
"Today is THanksgiving? Really? Huh.."
"Is this what we are eating?"
" It's funny I think the food tastes different in florida."
" Stop the noise"
"What did you say?"
Hope your Thanksgiving was amazing!

They looked like Vampires to me...
So Nick and I have been watching the Twilight movies this week, and let me just say I think I have taken them WAY TO FAR! It could be this diet I am on, lack of sleep, or I am just nuts. However, today we went to a new dentist and I am convinced that they were all vampires waiting to suck our blood. I have not slept in 2 nights. This is STUPID! IT IS A MOVIE!!! And I will be watching the third movie tonight....
ANYWAY. This has been one of those weeks that I feel I leak verbal vomit more then anyone should. I do this when I am either 1. nervous or 2. out of my mind. First one comes at Starbucks when the man asked me why I was getting a cold drink when its so cold outside, I respond by saying " Oh I am just so hot, not looks wise but like hot, like my body is feeling hot today..." followed by a awkward smile on his part. Then there was the man at the grocery store who said HI to me in the produce isle like he had known me his whole life, I respond with a nice HI because what was I suppose to do just walk away? Then he stops me at the deli and asks me if I am his wives boss, I say no, he says "Oh good because I thought you were avoiding me?" ya ok.... Then there was today getting the kids a subway sandwich... The lady making Ben's sandwich says " Hey baby what can I make you?" (to me) Now mind you she has a pony tail and a lot of facial hair.... My son says so the whole store can hear him " How come that woman has a mustach?" I say, so the whole store can hear me, " Ben we don't know if that's a woman, you shouldn't say that kind of stuff.!"
Yep I am not going anyway for the rest of the week....
If that is all not bad enough Ben comes home from school yesterday and says he learned about the mayflower and I respond by saying.."That's weird you are learning about that now, Easter is a few months away..."
SO if anyone has seem my brain please send it back!

Still in the Ditch and Proud of it!
Well....I deleted my blog a few months ago because I was confronted about some "topics" I had wrote about on my blog. I was asked how I could call myself a Christian and write the things I wrote and spoke the way I spoke. My blogs about sex and relationships took the most heat. Here is the thing, I am an open person, I tell it how it is, and yes at the end of the day believe it or not I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
My marriage has not been with out trouble. We got married at 18 and 19! Come on people I would say the fact that we are still together is a testament to my faith in God. I only desire to address some issues that most people are to afraid to open up about, in hopes it will help you, encourage you, and let you know you are NORMAL.
As far as the "sex" issues some people had...I will say this...if you are a "christian" and have an issue talking about sex then I feel truly bad for you. God created it and wants you to enjoy it. Ladies need not be shy talking about it, it is after all a beautiful thing. Second if you still can't stand me "talking" the way I do please don't read my blog. Third, it was pointed out to me that I swear on my blog sometimes....yes I do, because sometimes I feel as though you just can't get the point out there with out a swear word.
I have never felt the judgement I felt about this blog with anything I have ever done, and I didn't even write that many blogs!!!! I freaked out backed down and lost my battle for the one thing I was trying to help people with. DON'T YOU EVER EVER JUDGE SOMEONE.
So just so we are all clear, if you can read my blog with out judging me for the following please continue to read! If you can't stop reading. If you still wish to read and judge my blog...God bless you!
1.Drinking
2.Swearing
3.Being a stay at home mom
4.Talking about sex
5.Talking about relationships
6.Religion
7.Money
8.And everything else YOU may find offensive.
The number of christians is dropping at a very high rate....this to me is the number one reason. Who in their ever loving right mind wants to be one if all people are going to do is judge you. Your not helping anyone, you are hurting them. So yes, I am still in the ditch and will be there for the rest of my life. It's the ditch of life. I would rather be where the flowers grow then where the cars and trucks drive over me.
I hope you keep following with an open mind. My prayer is that you see my heart. I have a huge heart for people and I am truly just trying to let you know you are not along or give you a good laugh!
And for those of you who were wondering. My sex life is good, my marriage is the best it's ever been, I am at a really good place, and my kids are healthy, happy , and loud, and the Christmas season is HERE...let the decorating begin!
